Six members of LIMOS sat in a cafe in London, laughing and enjoying their first ever face-to-face meeting.

"Is that what they are called?"

"Yeah, it's really the only thing I remember from the dossier the cats gave me before I lost it."

"So let's run through the list. The strange animal behavior was caused by unusual tectonic activity in a rare convergence of seismic events. No one thought it odd that everyone's pets returned the next day at just about the same time. Animal behavior 'experts' vowed that it was all predictible."

"And that animal psychic confessed to never having had the ability to speak to animals in the first place. It was just her compulsive need for attention that caused her to make it all up."

"The giant robots? At the same time they all turned around and headed back where they came from. Paramour Studios is claiming it was a gimmick to show off their new film 'It Came From the Abyss'. The heads are back in Easter Island and Mexico, and there is no hard evidence to prove they were ever gone."

"The Antarctic stuff was explained as a glitch in NASA's observation scientists caused by anomalous geomagnetism."

"Wish I had gotten a good picture of Big Foot. Didn't know he was a gearhead. Could have talked hotrods with him."

"So did any of your notebooks survive the fire?"

"Nah. We're back to square one."

"Well, it's not a total loss," said Noella. "I have a lead on my brother's whereabouts."

"And at least now," Whitey said, "we know we haven't been crazy all these years."

"I'll drink to that!" Barry held up his beer bottle and everyone clinked theirs together.

Cliff walked up and sat next to Noella. "Hello!"

"Everybody, this is my friend Cliff I've been telling you about. We're off now for a well-deserved vacation."

"I see you've got a bird watching guide with you. Where did you say you were going again? Brazil? Africa?"

"Antarctica, actually. We're going to be staying with some friends. Bye now!"
