The good news for these companies using a variety of electrical equipment is that now there are several ways to ensure the company is not going to face any accident related to arc flash. Or, if a company faces one such accident, there are enough solutions to keep workers away from getting injured. What it means is that there are some solutions to the problem and employers should consider using them.

For instance, it is extremely important for employers to double check that workers are provided with all essential facilities to deal with an arc flash hazard. In order to accomplish this task, employers should provide personal protective equipment along with encouraging the modification of the configuration and design of the electrical equipment. Plus, protective wear should be available to all workers.
Along with taking these steps, it is important to take some steps to ensure that equipment is de-energized. This should be done before workers start working. There are many different standards that help companies work in a better way and some of these standards include, NFPA 70e-2004, IEEE Standard 1584-200, NFPA 70E-2000, etc. They are to help employers know the right way of dealing with arc flash hazards.
So, always keep in mind that arc flash can be extremely dangerous, but there are steps that can be taken to minimize the chances of getting an accident. Take those steps for the safety of your capital and workers.
